Alabama is #1.....the fact that we hung with them for 3 quarters means we have a very talented team and have no reason to lose any more games.

I agree. Do we bounce back or fold? I think we bounce back.

this moving of the goalposts has to be tiring. Nothing last night was any different than with Les at the helm.

Agreed. Anyone writing him off just based on last night is ludicrous.

He should not be considered for the permanent job and never should have been.

O should not be the coach until and unless all of the more qualified candidates turn us down. The end.

Ummm, to any smart observer his fate should have been decided before the Mizzou game. You don't promote the d-line coach to head coach permanently unless you whiff on your first 10 choices.

Based on the responses I've seen on twitter from several players, I think unlike in years past we will fight to win these last 3 games. Coach O definitely needs to impress and keep them motivated.

Yay for moral victories! LSU needs a proven head coach. I like O, but he just won't get it done long term. I feel bad for him, but we have to look out for the best interest of the program.

Coach O decided his fate when the offense was more anemic than a Les Miles offense.

Not scoring any points and failing to try anything different sealed his fate.

He loses 10-7 and moved the ball a little, fine. But last night was horrendous offense

All the next three games should decide is if he's in the running if Jimbo and Herman say no.

Didn't we all agree that he had to beat Bama (well not all, anyone with sense took the position he shouldn't be able to get the gig)? Now that he hasn't, are we deciding he should be graded on a curve? Bama was a must win for him. He now has to give up the dream. Despite media knighting, LSU needs to go and get someone with a resume as a head coach befitting of being the coach at LSU.

Things that don't qualify you to be the coach:

Losing less disgracefully than in recent history to Bama
Being from Louisiana
Now claiming to be an "LSU guy"
Having moderate success piloting listing ships
Coming up with admittedly catchy practice day names
Talking like you are from Down Da Bayah
Hiring Media buddies
Giving access to local media so that they cheerlead for you

If you think Miles was moving the ball against that defense any better.

Etling's not that good...if he connects on a couple of the passes you fricktards wouldn't even be whining

So you believe the job was offered to 10 candidates prior to Missouri game?

Everyone agreed that LSU should be in contention for the playoffs this year. They aren't. The players are the same now that they were then. He had to make do with what he had and couldn't. Thus dies the dream. Sorry, cheerleaders. If anyone without experience or with questionable experience should be considered, it is frickin Aranda. Everything you liked last night was the unit he coordinates.

It is easier to find one elite coordinator than two.

I'm no expert, but the play calling last night sucked. However, if Etling had been even halfway competent, we may well have won

It's really all about emotion. It's really, really hard to stay emotionally high two weeks in a row. There will be a natural letdown after the huge emotional investment we put into Bama.

To be honest, there's really not much O can do. Our guys will be emotionally flat, but hopefully will find a way to get through it.

Yet Arkansas, who pretty much sucks and has gotten blasted time and again (including a 53-point drubbing just a week ago), came out yesterday and kicked Florida in the dick. Playing every game can be done, even the fat idiot that coaches at Arkansas can manage it.

Don't let Miles' shortcomings govern what you think is possible during a football season.

How could you think that a man that Syracuse wouldn't hire is the right man for LSU? Please explain.
