Sitting at 4-2 now with 4 of their next 5 at home.

If we can somehow manage to win all 4 of these games against South Carolina, @Mississippi State, Auburn and Alabama, that will put us at 8-2 in the league heading into a monster showdown with Kentucky.

These next 4 games will make our season.

I'm expecting 3-1 out of these next four. 4-0 would be fantastic, and put us in great position for March. Going 2-2 or worse would put us in a pretty big hole.

Your math is off. 4 out of 5 games at home. Win all the home games? What about the road game? We wouldn't be 8-2 going into UK with a road loss.

Kentucky is the 5th game in that stretch.

That's why I said 4 of the next 5 at home.

I know State is on the road. Going 4 in a row heading into that 5th game against UK would be huge for this team

His math is correct.

Can't afford to drop anymore bad games in a relatively weak SEC.

3-1 is a must. It's hard to pull off 4 straight wins but none of these teams really scare me. I'd love for them to win all four but I feel they drop one somewhere.

SEC isn't that week, pretty sure SEC has most teams in rpi top 100 than any other league

You're living in the wrong year. 2015 has 10 SEC teams in the top 100 RPI at this time. Same number as the ACC and more than the PAC 12, 1 less than the Big 12 and 2 less than the Big 10. So they're tied for the 3 most top 100 teams at this time. By conference RPI rank, the SEC is 4th with a SoS of 3rd. Not bad really for a "Football Conference".

nice try. op is making a point. you are trying to be to police his accuracy ( and you fail.....miserably). he clearly mentions the road game at MSU and points to it as a potential win. asses like you make this place miserable. go find a baseball thread to screw up

hold out your hand and add it up on your fingers

shite, that would be incredible. Since the SEC went away from divisions ('11-'12), there has not been an 11 win, top 50 rpi SEC team that didn't make the NCAA tournament. That's the magic combination, or so it seems.

Right now we are sitting somewhere between 36 and 40 for rpi (the ncaa site has us at 38), fwiw.

it is pretty easy to see how he read the "all 4" to refer to the 4 home games the OP mentioned right before. Without a full schedule in front of you you wouldn't know for sure if we have 5 games before Kentucky or 4.

not really since he clearly stated what 4 games he was talking about right after the part of the text you chose not to quote.

dude was just flat out wrong. no big deal or anything though.

If we beat South Carolina tomorrow, we would be in great shape at 16-4, tied for second in the SEC, with an RPI in the mid 30s.

South Carolina is also a little better than their record indicates. They have had a ton of close games not fall in their favor.

Ultimately, versus Tennessee and Kentucky, I think we need to at least go 1-2. We need another top 50 win.

Agree with your predictions other than the Florida game. Will not lose to Florida at home. Could see them losing at Auburn which would result in the same final prediction.

We completely demoralized Florida at their place. They won't beat us at home.
