Do I seem like an Alabama fan?

In recent years, he has lost to Freeze, Malzahn, and Sumlin.

i have not been bashing les miles much lately b/c we know who he is and what kind of team he wants on the field. life is life

but, to just accept defeat is a terrible mindset. if bama is doing things at a higher level than we are, then we need to figure out what they're doing or figure out a way to perform at an even higher level. just accepting our mediocrity is terrible.
The Sunshine Boys say that there's nothing wrong with losing to Bama or Rank Mediocrity. They Revel in it!

That kind of a loser, non-competitive mentality is and is a sure sign of individuals that have never worn a jock strap at any level of athletic competition.

Show me ONE poster who doesn't care that we haven't beaten Bama in three years.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by your post, but I'm assuming that you are trying to say "Rah Rah Rah we are real Tiger fans because we cheer even when we know we are going to lose, and anyone who expects to win championships every year is a horrible negatiger".

I, like you, started my fandom in the 70's with Cholly Mac. I participated in the U-Haul Stovall chants. I felt sick with all fans after going to and attending 3 major bowl games all losing to Nebraska. I hate losing no matter who it is.

Not being disrespectful of you or your family member, but I hate mediocrity, complacency, and the laissez faire attitude that "we have never beaten Alabama and we never will.

What I loved about our 10-year run ('01-'11) is that we became relevant. We became a force to be reckoned with.

With that being said, Les is turning into Cholly. You sunshine pumpers are the reason our decline has been steady the past 3 years. When I hear things like, "we go in there and cheer for our Tigers" (under the impression that we can't win) is what's wrong. I wonder, do Alabama fans say crap like this? No, they expect to play for a championship every year. Is it wrong to expect the same thing?

Sunshine Pumpers are the worst thing about LSU because y'all refuse to demand excellence. Is it an unrealistic expectation? Probably, but I am an LSU fan. I refuse to accept "Les".

During that time frame, Les still ranks Top 10 in wins among his peers.

Some people literally hate the man, his wife, and his family...pretty sad. I'm not denying he has shortcomings. All coaches do. Saban was dumber than a box of rocks to try that FG last season. Everyone and their grandma knew that kicker couldn't make it.

Hey, I can't stand Miles, and would help him move but I think he is a good guy. It's sad that anyone would attack the man or his family personally. I will agree with you on your point.

Awesome, you know we (and bama) are now recruiting kids that were in Jr High the last time we beat bama?

No coach has played Bama closer than Miles. The "fans" should direct their enmity toward the Machine-run SEC offices (Bama) and Steve Shaw, head of SEC officials. The status quo will be maintained and nothing will change if Shaw remains as head of SEC officials.

The GOTC was an overtime win. So, Miles is 2-4-3 in regulation vs Saban. Won in 07 & 10, lost in 09, 11 BCSNCG, 12 & 13, and OT in 08, 11 & 14.

During that time period, Miles is the only coach to beat Saban more than once.
