It's the Bama game later that year - 11/5/12. The bullshite penalty, the puss third down play call, the screen play.

We weren't going to win 1/9, whether Lee played or not. But 11/5 could have meant SOME redemption, and we had that game in the palm of our hands. The palm of our fricking hands.

That one hurt. How often do you remember failing to convert a 3rd down 4 years later?

Because Lee never came in off the bench to win a game that Jefferson would have lost for LSU.

Les Miles was the only coach in America who would have played Jefferson over Lee. 21-0 is what Miles will be forever known for and he should.

Agreed.

As bad as 1/9/12 was, it was the proverbial false ending. 11/5/12 was the final stake through the heart that set the narrative to where it is currently: LSU cannot beat the red team and there is no reason for analysts to say otherwise until they prove otherwise.

I, for one, believe this is the year that the chain begun with that give-away in this final moments of the 11/5 game will finally be broken.

Why do I believe this? Because why the hell not; that's why.

Coach still should have put Lee in for second half after numb nuts could not move the ball on first drive of second half. I bet if that situation arrises again under coach O he will have the nuts to make that change.

Oh dear God. I cant roll my eyes enough

We saw what this years team could do with having only 4 days practice under a new coach. There is no telling what LSU could have done with a better passing QB in JL and a proficient coach

if that shite keeps you awake at night this many years later, wait until real life problems arise and smack you in the face.

We were living it (2-2). We just didn't let Curly finish the year out this time

You sorry arse quitter. Maybe the QB didn't matter, but the game plan (or lack thereof) and play calling Damn sure did. Any coach who thinks they will beat a coach like Saban twice, with the same game plan deserves to be fired right after they lose the second game.

For the Miles apologists, screw you too because the retard tried it a third time last year with Fournette.

Yep. Bama fans were leaving the stadium when we were driving with the lead. It was gut wrenching.

I disagree. This team had expectations of a run for a national title. Curly's teams were just trying to have a winning record.

I stubbornly blamed TM7 for that game. If he had been mature enough to stay on the team, I PROMISE you that screen pass would have failed.

Love the guy now, but 2012 is dramatically different with him.
