do you really think that you have the authority to tell the ENTIRE student section what to do?

Exactly. Id do it everytime if I had some guy thinking he was in charge telling me not too.

Oh yea, and Im pretty sure we would've won if the SS took your advice and didn't wave the towels except on kickoffs. Definitely would've been the deciding factor there.

Dumbass

I liked them and think they had no negative impact on our fans. We were still VERY loud and the towels looked cool on TV and in person. Seeing 60,000 towels swinging, especially in the student section, was different.

In all honesty, who actually claps?

I clap. It adds to the noise level significantly. Normally, on D, I yell and clap. Last night I yelled, clapped and stomped the seat.

Towels looked cool on Chinese Bandits and kickoff, though.

Mine kept hitting the dude's towel sitting next to me. I tied two together, though - super towel action!

They were ok. From the second I sat down on my seat, I put mine away though. F that. I was going to yell and yell the whole night.

For the first time since the 80's, I heard people stomping the metal bleachers while yelling. That's old school and you don't really hear that anymore. Sent a chill up my spine bringing back memories of old Tiger Stadium.

They had these back in the 80's. They were called Tiger Rags.

Yeah, I ended up grabbing mine in the middle so I wouldn't hit people around me.

I yelled and clapped when Bama was driving and swung it for the LSU chants, 1st down cheers and kickoff. It was too much damn trouble, but for one game I thought it looked good for tv.
