Wheels about to fall off

Look for a loss to A&M and somehow to Arkansas.

7-5 with this team is ridiculous.

zsav stopped watching at the half, not iluv. Don't attack her (though if you do, make sure it's in a readers thread )

The fans quit on the team for just about every home game during the last 15+ minutes. I guess they figure that LSU fans just expect a 2-3 quarter game.

But isn't this what most people expected anyway? It amazes me how people said that we would lose 4-5 games at the most, and are then surprised when it actually happens. Being realistic, this team has lost a lot of talent on defense with little to no depth. Sometimes you may get instant results, sometimes you don't; that's football. Now granted our offense is better, but you're not going to win too many games without a decent defense. They played well to begin it, but the game is 60 mins and if you can't bring your A game against a good team like Alabama, you will get beat and that's what happened. What I didn't appreciate was the team giving up. Don't lay down and take it in the arse; you fight. You may still lose, but a least make an effort. That effort was seen in the first half and when it got harder they folded. This can sometimes go beyond coaching. This is when leadership amongst the players need to be established; a rallying cry of some sorts. The coach can only do so much but in the end the players must make that effort. Obviously, there isn't any true leadership on either side which is definitely troubling. How they want to end this season is up to them now. Miles can only do so much. You can coach them all you want, but the players must make the decision whether or not they want to play with heart and effort.

No there won't be a national championship or a SEC championship, but they can play for pride and a bowl game. And I know if you're not playing for a national championship then what are you playing for? That's true, but the coulda, shoulda, woulda/what if ship has sailed; it is what it is. Now what's left is to play for the pride of themselves, their teammates, the school, etc.

IF Miles can get them UP to do this. Look The team is way deflated and the mood is sour. I don't see THIS team getting fired up for A & M. Sorry dude. A & M is gonna WAX LSU. They could put up 60[YES60} in TS. Scary.

Because in 2011, there was still a 'body of work' to fall back on.

Often, teams take on the persona of their coaches. Bama's players, like Saban, are focused, disciplined, relentless, and always prepared. LSU's players, like Miles, are unfocused, undisciplined, poor leaders, complacent, and seemingly poorly conditioned.

It all boils down to coaching. It's the head coach's responsibility to make sure he does everything possible for his team to succeed at the highest level. That's where Miles fails us.

CLM is not a sideline motivator- that hurts us immensely- At least Dale Brown could throw a chair or his coat across the floor or get ejected anything to show emotion and passion

This game hurt our recruiting big time

Saban was at the pinnacle of his eurphorea last night . There is a gap now from an overall standpoint between the two programs from the resources or recruiting to overall presentationn and brand. I felt really bad to Mett .. The gumps at the next tailgate cheering and laughing didn't help. Didnt want to fight to get arrested I hate everything about their fans even their supposedly classy fans always throws in their subtle back jabs . If we go 7-5, I say cut our losses. Nothing personal Against les I have a lot respect for what he has accomplished but we will never be on bama's level as long as he is here . Pay whatever it takes to get David shaw to Baton Rouge

Thank God Les Miles says quirky, funny shite at press conferences, or else I'd be worried.
Miles aint goin nowhere as long as that joker that sits in the LSU Taj Mahal throne is employed. You'll have to fire one, before to you can get to the other one!

Too bad Doug Moreau has had health problems. I always thought he would have made a good AD for LSU. Smart guy. X LSU football player. Knows the territory and politics of LSU.

BINGO. We have a winner. A Saban team does not quit. Les has lost control, and apparently respect of the players. Not good.

the other team imposing their will on us and the general feeling of helplessness isn't something we're used to as fans.

I'm not so sure about that. Last season, Florida ran like 20 consecutive run plays against us and made us look helpless. Georgia did the same to a smaller extent this year, with Gurley getting nearly 100 yards rushing in just one half. And then there was last night.

I hate to say it but the A&M game might get pretty ugly. I hope I'm wrong.
