For the last two weeks, all we've heard is how money was not a problem when it came to Les' buyout. Our rich boosters were going to pony up and do whatever they could to get Les Miles fired. The rich dudes were driving this thing.

Then tonight, the vocal majority of the crowd in support of Les were the poor arse students.

Obviously, I'm not saying that is what ultimately saved his job. Maybe we went after Jimbo and we couldn't get him. Maybe the athletic department reviewed the season and decided it was enough to keep Les another year. But if the atmosphere at the game tonight and the positive response for Les had anything to do with the decision to keep Miles, it's pretty funny when you think about it.

I think most of the support was because everyone thought Miles was gone and wanted to send him off in a respectful manner.

Did you expect people to boo miles? You don't have to hate the guy to realize we need a change. frick our fans are stupid.

ETA; not the people who cheered miles. Fans like you.

Oh, no doubt.

I'm not saying that people in the crowd were trying to cheer really hard for him so he wouldn't be fired.

But I don't think it's out of the question to say that the fan support/response tonight might have had a little to do with the decision.

But you're OK if the future of the program is dictated by a few guys with money who don't know shite about football either?
