It seems our success rate in coaching the Black QB's has been much worse than the white, for whatever reason.

My how quickly we forget Russell and Perrilloux.

With 2 NC's under 2 white quarterbacks in the south, and a coach who thinks running matters to a QB, there is no way this doesn't continue to be a prejudice in all tiger fans minds, whether they have the balls to admit it or not.

Its not in all tiger fans minds. Speak for yourself

The point is, that there has to be some kind of change in offensive philosophy to get these guys to even end up at LSU. There is no way we pull Keil or Mett without selling them both on a more pass heavy offense. We're talking about the best pro-style qb and former best juco pro-style qb in the country. There's just simply no way either one comes to LSU if there isn't change on the horizon.

how did we get these two anyway?

I could see CLM in their living room now

player: you dont spread it out, you dont roll out all you do is run dives and tosses. sometimes you throw in an option but that dont work.

coach:exactly why we need you to be the next quarter back of Louisiana State University

Quick question, will y'all label and villify every black quarterback that will play at LSU in the future?

i have to admit i would have still thought jefferson was horrible even if he had been a wasp, a chinese, an eskimo, or a russian. it seems to be in vogue to knock someone who criticizes a black period, much less a black athelete who tries to play qb. miles will miss him mightly next year when the dreaded option is called once again .jefferson still sucked.

If I go off of Les Miles and other JJ supporters then LSU has no chance at beating Bama the next few years unless Randell plays. Bama can't be beaten without a running QB. You can't scheme against Bama's pass rush with a pocket passer. Basically with Mett, Kiel, or Rivers you are forfeiting the Bama game.

You obviously don't know too much about football. You don't beat a pass rush with a rushing qb. You beat it with a smart qb who can identify pressure and counteract it with the right checks and decisions to get rid of the ball quickly. It also helps to actually have a passing threat. There's a reason very few mobile QBs succeed in the NFL (Vick, Newton). You need an acurate, smart qb who can digest information and make quick decisions. That's exactly what Keil and Mett are.
