From what I've seen at others schools, it's pretty common for a bunch of weird students to sit in the front. it's the worst seats in the house, so I say let 'em have it

Its not the weirdos' problem that the normal sector of the student body doesnt show up to balance them out.
That being said, I went to most basketball games in undergrad and i would always sit off to the side if it wasnt a big game

As a longtime season ticket holder who sits low and near the student section, I am GRATEFUL that those kids come to the games and cheer. Good for them. I wish we had another 1000 LSU students like them.

Most games I sit in the section right behind the front. I like the view better and I don't really feel like standing the entire game.

They need to move the band. The leave half the section empty. Also agree with more piped music. Boogie down on repeat is tired

That newspaper thing for the opponents lineup and saying "sucks" is old and stupid. They need new material. I'm ok with them doing something obnoxious, but we did the newspaper thing in high school, and I know that's where these guys stole it from

The newspaper thing for the other team's starting lineups has been around forever at LSU. When the place was actually packed back in the 80's, the entire student section would do it..and back then that was almost 3000 people. Pretty cool.

At least the weird ones stay the whole game, unlike 80% of the students who show up at the football games just to check in on Facebook, post a few selfies, and cruise at halftime.

Student sections at all basketball games are very weird. Go watch any team play, michigan and uf have some very weird mfers
