Maybe. But shouldn't getting boatraced by Moo U have been a wakeup call?

Losing in Starkville does not equate to losing at home to Troy. Youth and lack of depth/injuries were an excuse. Troy was just inexcusable and everyone affiliated with the program past and present knew that.

It’s obvious that someone else was meddling in the play calling. If O can sit back, focus on recruiting, and not impede the coordinators on doing their jobs, we might win a lot of games

You motherfrickers never give up.

First it was Miles holding his OCs back, now it's Orgeron. Maybe we have just developed a better grasp on the offense and people are now healthy.

Give the analysis a rest, you suck at it.

Mactually same plays out of different formations. We now line up in three and four wide receivers sets. That opens up space and lanes for backs to hit. Last night third and short we ran play with everybody stacked in close and failed to get yardage. We just aren't strong enough up front Yet to run tight formations. When I say strong enough I mean strength wise. This is freshmen trying to push around juniors and seniors on other teams that have had a year of two in a college weight room

If O will let his highly valued coordinators do their thing, I'll gladly keep him around for a while.

I think we have found Alleva's TD handle, or possibly fricking Alexander.

At what point do Canada and Aranda say, “Why is this guy getting paid double (or triple) my salary when I’m doing all of his homework??” That is and always was the problem with this model. Better win big now and hope the new hire coordinators pan out when these guys inevitably leave.

Did you just shift the goal posts from "this model cannot work" to "this model will be difficult to sustain because successful coordinators will leave"?

You know it is possible to enjoy a victory without pissing in the punch.

This is a problem and will be evident against Bama. We are not there yet.

Sid , I agree it may get ugly. I really do exspect it to improve in due time. Don't be surprised if LSU moves on from Moffit He has not got it done last few years. My two cents blast away.

Some of us have argued this from Day 1. Stop being dense.

it's a lot more fun to watch now for multiple reasons. Win or lose, if we continue to see steady improvement like we have, in so many facets of the game, I'm a happy camper

This all day long. If we’re going to lose games, I want it to be while trying. For so long under Les Miles we saw the same old bullshite time and time again. We stuck to the same game plan no matter what, and that was frustrating as hell.
Now we’re still far from the LSU of the 2000’s, but at least the coach is willing to see what works and what doesn’t work. I’m not a fan of Coach O but I respect the shite out of him for trying new things. If it keeps on working, I’ll certainly be a Coach O convert.

It's not all about yards. 123 of that came from 2 plays
exactly. Etling seems almost entirely incapable of being trusted to complete a planned Quick Pass 6 yards downfield

He couldn't make first or second string so they stuck him on the 34th string D squad.

It needs work but Etling threw for over 200 yards last night

Mostly with short passes that was padded by run after the catch. Etling struggles with presnap reads & being able to throw with anticipation of his receivers breaking open at the top of their routes.

Agreed. He needs to get out of the way, be the mascot, recruit, and give halftime speeches. Let the people who know how to coach do just that. That way, he can be as colorful as he wishes without hurting the team.

Yeah my main issue was that Canada kept D Williams in the game 3 possessions in a row when we got into the redone, and subsequently had to settle for a field goal each time. One such possession he legit gave it to D Williams 3 straight times inside the 20 yard line, and to no surprise, he failed to get the first down.
