but let's just see how many 8-5 years you see at Oh St., Bama, TCU with those coach's in place. And it's not even the 8-5, it's the way we've been declining. Losing to teams with far less talent should be the exception to the rule, not the norm.

TCU went 4-8 last year

and Meyer and Saban are 2 of the best college coaches of all time

no shite they have great programs

LSU could be at that level...maybe, but they could also be much, much worse.

...oh please ... just stop it ...but, I hope you feel better. You're obviously a high powered management executive that can do in depth organizational analysis on so many many levels ...

We sat at 8-5 before with terrible qb play. And 3-5 in SEC.. In 2008.. We bounced back in 3 years.

With the current recruiting classes, right hires, and talent we are looking at a similar bounce back in 2-3 years but people can only see the current..

K. Beckwith or T white

Collins was the year before that, we lost that recruit 4 recruiting seasons ago? Didn't we get the #1 recruit from 4 different states 2 years ago? I think we average the state's # 1 recruit way more than most state universities. Off the top of my head, not Texas, not bama, not Florida, not Mississippi, not Georgia. maybe south Carolina gets theirs....

Will Evangel fire Dawson? Seems they are in decline as well.

Gotta agree. To me, the tell-tale sign is that 'Bama has 28 commits for '15, and LSU has 16 (two of which are special teams only players). This also tells me it's only going to get worse before it gets better. The question is: how far are we from rock bottom?

I agree. And for all those who don't want to hear it anymore, too bad. It is what it is. Les is not working. Period.
He should have been fired after that embarrassing 21-0 loss to Alabama in the NC.

So yeah, Fire Les if Chip Kelly, Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer
Every SINGLE one of these coaches were ridiculed as replacements for Miles when they were suggested, especially Pete Carrol who has been pilloried on here for years. Fact is, Miles is nowhere near ANY of these guys in terms of understanding the game, transitional changes, coaching on the fly, and strategic planning. He's a lightweight compared to them. But every time someone else is brought up to replace him like the ones you mention above, people say 'we can't do any better than Miles'. Then when one of those guys wins a Super
bowl or NC, all of sudden they are christened on here as "once in a lifetime coaches" that we would be lucky to get.

1. including this year means including 2015, we got the #1 player in 201
2. CRob and Fournette were in the same class

2012- Collins - Bama
2013- Tre White- LSU
2014- Fournette - LSU
2015- Johnson - LSU

U do realize Ohio St, Alabama, USCw and Texas are very easy places to win at or do u? Do u think its a coincidence that both The Bear and saban have won the most natty's?

So the urban meyer reference is a bit weak. He couldnt maintain at Florida which is a much tougher task than taking over after Tressel and the one yr tattoo hiatus in Buckeyeville.

But Meyer is a great fit for OSU and will win more than nicky moving forward. He's a heck of a coach in his own right, he's just not a SEC coach.

He wouldnt be doing crapola at Florida, just so u know. In fact, he would probably quit.

U win consistently at places like LSU with superior leadership at the top only.
Florida can be a juggernaut and be in the aforementioned names, when both Miami and FSU are looking for leadership. u know like when urb was there.

But other than bama and possibly Flo-rida, it takes exceptional leadership at the top to win in this league consistently.

Miles is just rolling along and can win the thing with or without an average SEC QB. Name the head coaches who can do this in any league.

Its tough sledding for the 2nd tier schools like LSU, A&M, Auburn, Arky etc. everyone except Kentucky and Vandy in this conference.

Run Miles off and it will be uphill both ways.
