Not as good as Jarvis's catches against Arky in 2012 and 2013 imo
Odell pisses me off. Dude could catch a kickoff 1 handed for a touchback and then muff a punt or fumble at crucial times.
End rant

I still think Landry's catch is severely underrated:

Jarvis Landry had 2 crazy one handed catches against Arkansas. He's made some pretty spectacular catches at Miami as well, no one ever seems to give him his due, maybe because he's not as flamboyant as OBJ?
E: Wow, didn't expect to see so many echoing my sentiments about Jarvis. Guess it's something only Tiger fans can recognize.

This. I think his 1 handed kickoff catch against UGA was as impressive. But the muffed punt later in the game was bad.

I definitely recognize Landry as one of the best to play for the tigers but that beckham catch was one of the greatest catches I've ever seen. I've seen landrys greatest catches and honestly none of them are on par with that one hander on MNF.
I think Jarvis is a better overall receiver, beckham more homerun power.

Look, I love those Jarvis Catches, but this could very well be the best catch of all time, while he was getting held. Give Beckham his due

Special shot out to D. Byrd for the real "The Catch".

Oddly enough that catch was 4 years ago today, on a cold windy day in Fayetteville

What's even more amazing about that was Jarvis is left handed. So that was a catch like that with his off hand!

Odell may go down as the GOAT receiver. That's the pace he's on:
quote:
Odell Beckham Jr.’s second touchdown of the game cements his place in the record books.
He’s now the first player since 1967 with 30 receiving touchdowns in his first 35 games. He also has more receiving yards through his first 35 games than anyone since 1965 has had in their first 40 games.

Let us not forget Odell essentially losing us the game against Florida. Dudes a great talent but when you need a sure catch, I'd go Jarvis every day. Dudes not gonna drop the ball or give up on the route or turn into a head case.

Look, you can argue back and forth about Landry vs OBJ at LSU and mistakes that OBJ made vs his impact but let's be realistic.
That is possibly the greatest catch at any level of all time. Gloves or not, he was outstretched, interfered with, completely bent backwards, and caught it not just one handed
but with 3 fingers. Watching it again, it honestly blows me away that catch was physically possible.

Well he's not. I love Juice but OBJr is on another level.

So we are one hand catch U?
I still say the the second Ar-kansas catch Jarvis made was incredible. Terribly underthrown duck where he jumps over a diving defender to catch it one handed 50 yards down the field.
I still don't know what made him think that was what needed to be done to catch that ball, but it was the only way he was catching it, and be did somehow.

That catch single-handedly destroyed my little league flag football team. Every fricking game one of those little shits would try to reenact that catch.
