Yes it is.
And I give a lot credit to Chief. Despite what people on here think now of him, he's still 1 of the best DC in the business. That said, I don't expect us to drop off without him next year. Scheme matter sure, but for the most part defense is about the talent you've got on the field and attitude. We've got the talent and I think Ed Os personality will bring out the attitude we need out there. As far as scheme and X's and Os go, Steele is very similar to Chief. They were high school teammates, college roomies, and we're grad assistans at Tenn as well. Both were molded by the same people.
The difference is that Steele will bring more pressure and knows both the 4-3 and 3-4 defense and will use both.
