I was a nervous wreck in the second half and I can’t imagine watching that game with a group of people. If I’m at the game is one thing but I hate people talking to me when I’m focused on the game. I always watch LSU football with my dad and son and I can’t tolerate anybody else lol. I’ve had family members and friends who invited me to watch LSU football games but they don’t take it seriously like I do.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to acknowledge that I feel the same way. The group of people with whom I can watch LSU games is very small. They all know when to make noise and when to shut up.

My uncle would let me watch the football game with him only if I shut up.

I scream at the TV, my wife hates it, I do it anyway. I hate watching the game with others because if I want to cuss at the TV, I cannot.

1000% agreed. for a game like bama, or UF when they're good or auburn, i'm either there or watching at home with my son.

other games i'm fine....but those big games when those teams are good, i kinda have to not be seen by others.

You know I think I handle the stress better when I'm at the games. When I'm home watching I'm a damn nervous wreck and my emotions are all over the place. I swear if you took snippets from my reactions throughout the Bama game and put them together you'd think I was either bipolar or had multiple personality disorder. When I'm at the games I'm pretty calm cool and collected. It's really strange now that I think about it.

My dad was a college buddy of Cholly Mac at UK.

I have to watch LSU Football for the both of us nowadays.

Enjoy your family while you can. Things happen.

completely agree. Football game parties are fun when LSU isn't playing, but there's too much chatter going on.

I'm not obsessive, but I like to really concentrate on the game, and check the web for real-time stats. And flip to other games during timeouts and halftime.

Unlike many on this board, I like to listen to the TV commentators - good ones can add a lot to my enjoyment of the game.

Too many people means too much mindless chatter. Which I can't tolerate.

I was watching with my Bama fan wife. She was way more nervous than I. I was I was proud that we played well and were in a great game. Wasn't even that nervous. Losing would have been disappointing, but I would have still been proud of the team, coaches, and fans.

Winning, on the other hand, was glorious.

I opted out of a football party b/c of those reasons. I prefer football knowledgeable friends only when we play our biggest games...and preferably less than 5-6 ppl. We usually have that but when my friends said their neighbors wanted to host I said nope I am out

My wife asks me if I think the players on the field can hear me when I yell at them. The audacity.

I feel the same.

I got home from work on Monday to surprise my son with going to the Saints game. He was in his bed on the iPad when I got home. I asked him what he was watching. "I'm watching the LSU game again because I fell asleep for some of it." He is 7.
