There are several awesome pics in that series. The ones with RR catching the long TD pass are priceless. The crowd reactions.

Figures that his mother gave him the heathen spelling.

Don't want that douchebag anywhere near the Auburn or Alabama game.

I don't have a subscription to Scout but I found a google link to a thread about the Penn State-Alabama game, which had a description that reads as follows:

quote:

Scout.com: Game Officials
mbd.scout.com › Forums › TAP Board
9 posts - 6 authors - Last post: Sep 11
Also had a couple of the game officials on the flight; one of them - the Back Judge - appeared to be wearing an Alabama Championship ring. ... Back judge for the game is listed as S. Patrick...think that's Steven Patrick. ... underscoreTom wrote: How'd you know he was the back judge? ...

Anyone have a Scout subscription to get some more scoop there?

ETA - link to that thread: LINK

I think the most telling thing here is that both line judges signal Touchdown and he's going to get pissed and make that call on something that could have only been seen in slow mo.

Guys a prick as bitch.

Officials with any connection to an SEC school should not be allowed to ref in this league. It's pretty bad.

I still laugh that an Auburn alum was the replay official in the 2006 LSU-Auburn game. No way he could be biased.

Ware wasn't horse collared.

There's a Steve Patrick from Cullman, Alabama on Facebook. He has pics in Alabama gear and has Roll Tide on his page. Wonder if it's the same guy.

Just rewatched the replay, and I agree, he was not horse collared.

But, 51 for Florida's reaction to the tackle was more flagrant and egregious than Wing's prior to crossing the goal line.

The Adams TD in the Arkansas game was more of a flaunt than what Wing did. The officials really need to get their act together on this rule and how it is enforced, before it becomes any bigger of an issue than the LSU/Georgia '09 affair.

I'm really more interested in finding out about Steven Patrick and prior celebrations he has witnessed from other games this season. Any ties to Alabama would interest me also. The state, not the school.

The pic in Bama gear COULD be him I suppose, but he has glasses and a hat and no mustache. There's a kid in the pic so I don't want to post it.

I couldn't find a Steve Patrick in Bama gear, but there was a Steven Patrick shown as an umpire in a profile pic, that had no other info.

Even if the guy is very professional, and would never let his personal preferences affect his calls, if he has any ties to the state of Alabama, I would prefer to keep him under the microscope if he calls those games.

Outside of the Peterson replay, we have been treated fairly at Alabama over the years. I can't say the same for Auburn.

Maybe you could track him down and stake him out.

The one I found is a children's pastor, which would explain the uptight attitude.
