The Alleva Leak is Bad for LSU.

We are now reading emails that Joe knows who the "leak" is. Evidently his own emails have "leaked" out on his watch as well. Really,there is so much trust around that school, it has to be a tremendous advantage for the Tigers on the recruiting trail. Who is next to get stabbed in the back? Forget the Duke Lacrosse team.
If this was another school, we'd all be ragging the hell out of this half-arse outfit.
He claims to know who "The Leak" is.

Alleva is Miles' boss. How can anyone know, he is thinking about terminating him unless hes the one running his mouth?
If your spouse finds out from someone else, that you are planning on divorcing them, who will he or she blame? And to hear about it at church in front of the kids, will probably make you look like a real stand up person.
If your plan includes going around the HC's back to see if u can get booster support for the buyout first, and they leak it out, oh well u get what u get.
How is this best for LSU?

I guess the situation would be analogous if personal decisions for divorce involved a board of supervisors, a chancellor and an athletic director.
Let me go talk to my church's board of supervisors to see if it's time to divorce my wife.

For what it's worth-- Aleeva's emails were not leaked-- they were obtained via the freedom of information act.

Unless Alleva has the autonomy to make the decision to pay a $15M buy-out, he has to go to the board for approval. So you're saying doing your job is "leaking"?

This news is a serious black eye for LSU. Neither King Alexander nor Joe Alleva have demonstrated any sense of professionalism or common sense. A major university with a major athletic program shouldn't rely on "on-the-job-training." If this continues to play out the way it's started, it seems that LSU needs to be making some changes. The one man who has shown the character and integrity LSU deserves is Les Miles. His behavior has been beyond reproach. At the least he deserves a public apology from the LSU administration.
