If the Alamo would have had a back door, there would have never been a Texas...

Wow.

One of the more gifted posts I've seen. I'll take this opportunity to provide some Aggie propaganda. After the battle of the Alamo the Texas revolution was won at the battle of San Jacinto.

Battle of San Jacinto

Aggies hold this day dear, because we're all very proud Texans. In the early days of A&M, Aggies would gather on the anniversary of the battle of San Jacinto to celebrate the victory. This tradition evolved over time into what Aggies now call "Muster".

Muster Video

It's one of my favorite Aggie traditions and makes me proud to be a Fightin' Texas Aggie!

A stroll through Texas today, one might argue that you won the battle, but lost the war.

The 3 main leaders at the Alamo were William Travis from Alabama, Jim Bowie from Louisiana, and Dave Crockett from Tennessee. General Sam Houston who lead the army against Santa Anna was also from Tennessee. The Texans mostly just cleaned up behind the horses.

Not sure if you're referring to my comment about the SEC or not. But if you were, you need to have the part of your brain that detects sarcasm checked.
