This is what we need to be able to do v. UA:

quote:

In the biggest game of the season thus far—LSU's 9-6 win over then-No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 5—Wing was as big a factor as any of the future NFL picks on the field. He bombed a 73-yard punt in the fourth quarter, preventing Alabama from making a short drive for a go-ahead score. The Tigers downed four of his six punts inside Alabama's 20-yard line. The Crimson Tide amassed a grand total of zero return yards.

One video looks great

One looks like it was filmed during the moon landing

It hasn't happened all year. Maybe we'll open up the secret punt book on 11/7.

As the cliche goes, you win by playing all 3 phases, and against an opponent who has resided on the top for the better part of the past 6-7 years, you need to win special teams. LSU will hopefully learn from mistakes and play with more disciplined intensity. Field position will be a HUGE factor, and Bama has a good punter. Can Keehn match him or at least compete?

It looks like on offense and defense it's a wash, or maybe slightly in LSU's favor since Harris is progressing nicely and Coker makes more mistakes, but otherwise it's strength vs. strength. If LSU matches up on ST it will be a great game... If LSU can win the ST battle, LSU should win by 2 scores, but obviously, if LSU gets beat on ST it could create momentum for the bad guys and get ugly on the road.

Here's to hoping LSU wins the turnover battle and the special teams battle.

Keehn needs to have the game of his life. Three or four shanks against Bama will doom us.

Truth!

Somebody needs to post this as a headline to get that boy's head right. When two good teams collide, it is the weaknesses and not the strengths of the teams that will decide the outcome. Our weaknesses are redzone defense and special teams. Bama's weaknesses are their 3rd down conversion rate and inability to sustain long drives. Field position will decide this game.

For some reason I feel like more stress and pressure would cause him to be worse

Wing was the gamer. Had his best nights in our biggest games.

Possible...kickers/punters are headcases, but he's been shitty even with pats on the back and participation trophies. If he didn't have the talent then it would be unfair to call his performance to date shitty--however, the kid is better than this. He needs to man up or we should go Florida 2007 and play all four downs.

I told my Bama friends that when we go for it on 4th, it isn't a sign that we think we will get it...we just KNOW we can't punt it

to be fair, our offense is way better than it was in 2011

We have an upgrade at almost every position, except maybe WR and Trae Turner.

While of course it would be great to have Wing over Kheen, we will probably do a better job os scoring without having to play the extreme game of inches.
