IT NEVER WAS REGAURDING STAMINA. It was whether he could be an SEC starter or not.

In order to be a starter, you have to be effective for long periods of time.

I think I'm pretty sure I know what MY question was about.

Not everyone has a Freshman wall. Lane Mestepey never hit a Freshman wall.

How the hell would a closer have a Freshman wall? Ott only pitches 4 innings a weekend at the max.

Who said anything about a freshman wall?

The talk is whether or not OTT will become a starter next year or the next.

I have been saying, Ott shouldnt start because he cant last very long.

we've had plenty of pitchers come from weaker HS competition than Ott.

Coleman played at freaking Pillow academy

Renaudo from some podunck NJ league

Lane Mestepay pitched at Central Private

doesn't mean shite

if u can pitch, you can pitch. Ott can pitch. Bottom line

so your basis for this whole argument is because he got rocked? it started questioning his stamina, which you say you didn't question, yet repeatedly triedto back up (:faildozer:). bottom line is the dude came in looking for ground balls, left a couple of fastballs a little high and got rocked. had nothing to do with him being worn out, and he certainly hasn't hit a wall. lots of great pitchers get rocked from time to time, Matty got rocked this time, doesn't make him any less of a pitcher. he has no propblems going full games, and he weill likely be our ace before it is all said and done
