No. It's not. So if we were held to 5.6 we were held in check? anytime you averaging more than 5 yards per carry, hell more than 4 yards per carry, you are not being held in check

When a team is averaging 250 YPG at 5.8 YPC, and they go up against a team who's giving up 205 YPG at 5.1 YPC, you'd expect them to have a huge game.

Therefore, LSU was held in check, relatively. Which is what I said in the first place.

BTW, this isn't the NFL. 4.0 would be good for 90th in the country.

Beat Texas with a last minute touchdown pass to Crabtree, I think got ranked as high as number 2 or 3 in the country and then completely shite the bed against OU. If they could have beaten OU they probably would have been playing for a National championship that season. That was their biggest game in their schools history and they completely shite themselves in the moment.

Over/Under 388.5 rushing yards for this game?

I'm going with over.

4th rated pass d in the country

Why pass when you can run nearly at will?

Is that contribution enough for you? There was no sarcasm, it was a joke. Sorry you don't get jokes and plays on words. Life must be difficult for you.

Top 3 team in the country for a little. Beat Texas on a nearly last second 30 yard pass to Crabtree. Got smoked by OU. Lost in the Cotton Bowl to Ole Miss, but finished top 15 in the nation.

LSU did not really try to run the ball like we did all season until late 3rd quarter. For some reason they tried to let Harris open it up. Then in the 4th quarter our running game had their way with the Aggy defense. By no means were they held in check.

Doesn't matter, football is football. Averaging 4 yards a carry is a first down every 3 carries and that all you need. That's not being held in check.

Arkansas has a good run defense. It's the pass rush and secondary that sucks.

You think averaging 5.1 ypc is being held in check.

And you think averaging 4.0 against everyone in college football is good....

I never said it was ideal...I said it's not being held in check.

I'm sorry you don't understand the rules of football. If you average 4 ypc you are getting a first down every 3 carries. Obviously it is ideal to gain more, but averaging 4 is really all you need to control the clock and win most football games.

being held below your season average is being "held in check" in comparison to your season

And I'm sorry you don't understand the term "relatively". You can keep painting this as a broad football issue all you want, I'm talking specifically about the LSU-aTm game. The one where the worst rushing defense in the conference held the best rushing attack to lower numbers than their season average.

One day, when you're older than 15, you will learn that's being held in check, relative to the expectations.
