Why? Terry would be king of Louisiana if he had played for those horrible Saints teams back then

Truth hurts. Miles runs a stale offense and is to damn stubborn to change.

I agree 10000%. We look like Michigan in the 80s

You and Bob Griese have at least one thing in common. He said that Bradshaw was too dumb to play QB in the NFL.

I suspect that he is elated that he never played for Cholly Mac nor Miles.

The new trend in CFB is what has been happening in high school. Put a great athlete at QB and take all the thinking out of playing the position.

Speaking of asinine.

Do you honestly believe that athletic QB's are just put back there and told to just go? Like electric football, or Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl?

For example, in high school, my athletic QB has a lot of thinking to do. In a spread, run-heavy offense. We also have multiple quick game and drop back concepts where he is also required to get a presnap read and think.

You think someone like Chip Kelly just has his athletic QB's go out there and just wing it? Your ignorance shows.

shite these players are taught from the first day of camp, of course I would hope they would improve from a variety of reasons. 1 being improvement on the individual, the 2nd part being the offense catering to the QB based on what they could do. Both of these things would show an improvement from year to year and any CFB not doing this is bound to fail honestly. I am not sure many could find a QB that actually started 3 years and regressed each season in reality because then the coach/OC would be fired.

LOL.

Charley Mac, rotated QB's when he had Bert Jones. Was it Pat Lyons?

Gruden's comment on MNF about not winning a championship at LSU with Mett, OBJ, Landry, and Hill completely disregards the defensive losses on that team. I promise you if the 2013 squad had managed to hold onto Mingo, Montgomery, Minter, Reid, and Simon that it would have been the GOAT.

Gruden had forgotten more about how to win football games than you will ever know.

disagree Cpt, Gruden is one of the greatest benefactees of being in the right place at the right time. far from a football guru imo

Marcus Mariota Draft Profile

quote:

WEAKNESSES Benefits from an offense that is predicated on simplified reads. Offense able to create wide-open receivers after busted coverages at times. Needs to improve resetting feet when maneuvering pocket to improve accuracy and power. Tends to "see" pass rush too often. Will drop eyes and look to escape pocket rather than stepping to available pocket space. Frequent trips outside pocket increase opportunity for injury. Pocket feel is very average. Stepped into sacks he had no business taking. Didn't have to throw to tight windows often. Average processor on field. Still learning when to get rid of the ball and move to next play. Slow to make anticipatory throws and can improve patience in allowing combo routes to mature rather than rushing the read. Missed obvious pre-snap blitzes. Drive accuracy needs work. When cutting it loose, ball tends to sail on him a bit. Arm strength is adequate but inconsistent to field side. Needs to bring hips through throws to increase zip into tight windows in NFL. Fumbled 27 times during his career.

And this is the guy that won the Heisman

didn't go back that far, Gruden, to me is like the Lane Kiffin of the NFL, his history is sort of like Mike Archer's first year as LSU HC to me

Worse, he plants a bug in our QBs ears on who should start.

Duck dynasty crowd. They don't give a frick about LSU.
