Have you seen Kiel's film? Lots of read option plays.

Maybe so, but Mett is likely to be the guy for 2 years.

And Mett running the read option would be like Lee running the read option.... wait, shite. That happened.

I just hope we do what we did early on this year with Mett next season. Loved that offensive style.

Shep's issues are from a lack of utilization. You could see his skills as a WR improving. His carries have decreased each year. He needs to tote the rock. He avgs like 7 yards a carry. Come on back Shep. You'll get the ball next year and get drafted.

Are you blind? OBJ is waaaay better than Shep, and I'd guess several other guys are as well. He seemed like a nice guy, and he loved LSU, but so do I. And you don't want me playing wr

really?

It was wholly different from the pro style we ran at the beginning of the year.

really? Lee averaged 20 passes a game. thats not exactly "slanging" it around

It was put in place because Miles wanted JJ to be the starter despite his actual on the field play, both last year and this year.

That speaks to COACHING CHOICES. Miles again next year will have a choice.....past patterns are the best predictor of future choices.

it was put in place because he didn't trust either QB to throw the ball and he knew we could win with defense and special teams.

Like i said....Matt Flynn threw the ball 25 times or more in every game except 1 in '07. threw 34 times or more in 4 of those games.

If he trusts his QB to throw it he'll let him throw it. period

I love how everyone is so confident in our QBs next year. We have 2 RS Freshman, a true freshman and our likely starter is a player that has thrown 10 passes at the D1 Level.

That's what I keep wondering.

Well let's see, he recruited Perrilloux (dual-threat), Jarrett Lee (pocket), Russell Shepard (dual-threat), Jerrard Randall (dual), Zach Lee (pocket), Gunner Kiel (pocket)

RP #1 QB in the country from LOUISIANA
JL - Pocket
Shep was never going to play QB
Zach Lee - Pocket
Mett - Pocket
Randall - I've heard will be moving to WR
Rivers - Pocket
Kiel - Pocket

Seems to me Miles wants a pocket passer with a power running game.

@LSUShep10 but out of those 14 catches I still had 4 touchdowns. You guys trying to talk down on me gives me more reason to leave.. I can't believe this.

C'mon Shep, if you're having to fight that hard to justify yourself you really need to rethink this decision.

I would be frustrated too if I had to run around all game knowing that my QB can't hit the side of a barn. shep has to know that next year was supposed to be the year we win it all, and to think we will have 2 passing QB's is enough to want to come back and lite it up... Good luck Shep and thanks for all you do for LSU fans...

I think Jason Pierre-Paul is a great example that you don't have to be successful in college to do great in the NFL if you have the athletic ability and the work ethic.

that's not the question you asked.

Can you not even remember what question you asked? Even if it was like 10 minutes ago...it's ok, go back and look. I'll wait.

You are very very very stupid.

1054 plays
442 pass attempts
30 sacks allowed

472 pass plays/1054 plays = 45% pass. It should also be a little higher because there were plays where Flynn and Ryan P scrambled for positive yards.

In all of this, no one has asked about his family? We all want him to stay, but at the same time, let him do what he feels is right. He is going to make it where ever he chooses to endeavor

lulz, the point is what happens. Not what is called

Do you expect a season with zero sacks and zero scrambles.....NO.

Henceforth their inclusion in the comparison of ACTUAL PLAYS THAT HAVE A CHANCE TO GO TO RECEIVERS IS INVALID.

But whatever helps you sleep at night.
