I understand a person looking out for their own financial interests. But I take issue with someone calling a team meeting to convey a message of unity and focus and persistence only to quit two weeks later.

"I just wanted to remind them that we still got a mission ahead of us and we gotta keep playing and keep growing [...] Through all of the hard times with this COVID stuff, we've gotta keep our eyes focused on the prize and that's to finish the season off the best way that we can."

"All I can say is we just gotta keep our eyes straight and win the season out."

He can do whatever he wants, my questions is why is he just now deciding to opt out? Why not do it before the season even started?!?!?! 3 big time games left and you leave?

He doesn’t care what idiotic rantards who have no personal frame of reference to the situation say or think

Maybe he didn’t see a change in the team after his talk.

Probably because the semester is basically over.

He called a meeting and told his team they are in the season together—and then quit two weeks later. He’s the one who provided a frame of reference and then crapped all over it.

im sure he doesn’t care much about what anyone else thinks including the rest of the team. That’s why it was so easy for him to quit. Because he’s a quitter.

Meh, you're not in that kids shoes. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Marshall has to worry about #1, and his future, not fanboys.

My guess after the hot start to the season he started to get some feedback as a high draft pick and now there is no point to risk injury. Also I would imagine not having Myles as qb factored in also. His stock wasn’t going to rise with the shite show at qb right now

right. That’s what quitters do. They worry about themselves and not the team. So they quit. Which is what he did. Because he’s a quitter.

Again—have no problem with him worrying about #1. I do have a problem with someone who says it’s all about the team and focus (not Number #1) and then jumping ship shortly thereafter.

It’s not a hard concept to grasp.

He obviously doesn’t care about his teammates either.

I think that’s obvious at this point

Calling him a quitter isn’t subjective. It’s a fact. I’m sure he has reasons in his own mind for quitting but he’s still a quitter

This is comical considering his "personal frame of reference to the situation" is completely different from what it was last week.

You don’t even know what personal frame of reference means.

Neither does much else of the team, or the coaching staff, or most of the fans.

But yeah, waste your energy on this.

If no one cares, why even have a program?

(People do care, btw, just not Marshall it appears)
