Tell the Truth Monday - Setting Etling Up for the Fall

I almost feel sorry for CEO. Every time he steps in front of a mic, there is one inconsistent statement after another. Matt Mascona zeros in what is pretty obvious. CEO has been setting Etling up.
1. Inserting Brennan in Week 4 up by 11. Result: Backfire.
2. Inserting Brennan in Week 5 Down by 17. Result: Back Fire.
Why on earth would he do that????

Before the syracuse, it was "get him some quality snaps". After syracuse, it was "see him perform with the game on the line". lol

Would you rather send him in with 50 sec left to hand off like happened with Mett (2012)?
Did not Brennan show enough talent to warrant some development time?

Thats not how its done. A full half of football in a blow is one thing. Putting in the situation that he was in the last two weeks is counter productive. If you're going to pull him, the moment he makes a mistake, its counter productive.

No, it screens panic. Put the frosh in down 17? You pulled your starter. Then as soon as he makes a mistake, you bench him again. I can't believe people are defending this crap. He absolutely does not know how to manage a team.

Canada also went to his own offensive scheme in the 3rd qtr and scrapped the O crap.

If Brennan doesnt throw the pic, Etling was through for the year. Thats was the plan, throw him under the bus. Run the old scheme in the first half with Etling. Canada runs his own system in the 2nd, except the interception threw it off. Backfire in O's face

Then why not keep him in? Why play him at all? Because it's all about O covering his arse to hide his incompetence. Play Etling in the shite-show modified "O" offense the 1st half. Put Brennan in the Canada offense in the 2nd half. If Brennan leads a come back - O claims he knew it all along & names Brennan the starter. Instead, Brennan throws another INT, O panics and puts Etling back in and throws everyone under the bus after the game & today. Think the whole, "We never planned on using Brennan in SEC games" wasn't a subtle jab at Brennan?
On what retarded football planet does any head coach put in a true freshman QB over a seasoned starter just to "see how he does with the game on the line"? Football isn't like baseball where you can start a freshman during a midweek game because you might need him during the SEC tourney. You can legit frick up a QB's career with some dumb shite like this.

Man you get it!!!! People having been missing inconsistencies in this guys statements since beginning of call camp. He's been throwing danny under the bus All freaking year. Kid need back surgery. He's full contact for the spring game. Then he gets in front of the mic and says he played poorly. SMH

Your opinion, this team isn't good with or without Etling. Some LSU fans are tired of opening a season every 2-3 years with a QB that has only taken a knee or played in the final two minutes of a blow-out game.

One of us is going to be missing the point here, but I think the bigger issue is putting Brennan in “while the game is still being decided” only to pull him the second he makes a mistake.
