I'd say with 7+ games left that the chances are high for Guice to hit 1,000 yards this season as well.

Such a dumb thing to say. Are you saying most elite players play every snap of every game?

Boykin is.

Maybe not, but Herschel Walker averaged 35 carries per game in his record setting season.

Is it fair to say Guice looks better than LF7 was 5 games into last year?

It's fair to say that Guice is running behind a much better offensive line than Leonard did last year. It's also fair to say that Guice has run against shittier composite defenses so far.

It's also fair to say that while Guice has the potential to be one of the best backs LSU has ever had he will not be as good as Leonard. So please relax with that stuff.

Was Treyvon Boykin in the whole UT game when his team was up 31-0 at half? No of course he wasn't.
Do you think that Bo or Herschel never got pulled early because the game was out of hand, or rested bc they tweaked an ankle or something and it's not worth risking it (like Fournette Saturday). All players sit sometimes.

1. Looking at the box score because I'm on my phone, Boykin threw for a td with 14 minutes left in the 4th and ran for a td with 7 minutes left in the game. Looks like a lot of rest to me. Solid point you made there

2. As already pointed out in this thread, herschel was averaging 35 carries per game at one point.

Where would Fournette be if he averaged Walker-esque carries per game through these first 5 game?

At his 8.6 ypc average and, say, 10 more carries per game, he would have 430 more yards for a total of 1452 through 5 games.

He's only 12 yards away (1022 vs 1034) from last year's rushing total.

Technically if he gets the yards that were called back for penalties he did it in three and half games
