You know what's not a farce?

Four different SEC teams have won the BCS title in the last seven years.

You know of any other conference with that kind of depth of elite ability?

BTW, show me a post by anyone but you making a claim that every week every SEC team faces another brutal SEC foe.

Agreed on the first part... $EC has ben dominant in regards to the crystal ball. And I wasn't speaking about a post on here. That's the overall national perception, and the logic that most of my friends from SEC schools use (most of them are either LSU, Jawja, or Florida people).

He really thinks it's spelled that way.

Tcu peeps: Please explain to me how you are going to overcome the huge disparity in turnover margin from last season. Lsu +1.23/game; TCU +0.23/game.

A) A starting QB that hasn't been playing running back in the weeks leading up to the game.

B) A senior RB who's been starting for 2 years instead of a true freshman who couldn't hang onto the ball.

I went and looked at the box scores from last year. And it seems like the turnover bug was early in the year.

Catalan, Boykin, and Tucker all had equal carries last year.
You lost 1 fumble against Grambling, 4 against Kansas, 1 against UVA, 2 against SMU, & 2 against ISU.
That's 10 of the 17 total through 5 games. After that, you averaged one a game, which is pretty typical in college football.

My point is... that you're right... the turnover margin should be much better this year.
However, you went 3-5 the rest of the way even with a > +1.0 TO margin.
Not a good sign.
Plus, that makes the record a little harder to explain.

LSU vs TCU in the trenches and depth. Thats all you need to know, to find out who will win this game. I remember when those UW fans last year thought they could hang. This one will be won in the trenches handily by LSU.

I agree LSU will win, though it will likely be a lot closer than many here think, but comparing to TCU to UW is ridiculous.

From a depth and defense and offensive line point, I think its a pretty good one.

Agreed. Washington? Really?? I don't think Oregon's a good comparison either. Completely different playing styles, completely different coaching styles, completely different players. The only thing we have in common with these teams is that we believe we have what it takes to beat LSU. I'd say the odds are 60/40 against us, but I think we can do it. GP is a freak of nature when it comes to preparation and gameplan, and LSU has't seen a defensive scheme like TCU's (that I know of). If our offense is back to its old self with our true starters in and if our D can force LSU to beat us through the air, I think we have a good shot. Should be a good game regardless, and I'm excited to play against one of the nation's elite programs--always a good measuring stick for a team like us trying to take the next step as a program. I just wish we could keep the home and home series rather than the one-and-done...I was dying to experience Death Valley and having the tigers at our house would've been pretty neat.

60/40 Pachall doesn't quit in the middle of the game and go back to heavy drug use! that's about the only thing 60/40 here

I am looking forward to seeing all the West Monroe guys play (Hunter, Lathan, McFarland). I am sure this is a huge game for them.

LOL- you have 9 wins marked and three toss ups.
You likely lose at KSU, definitely lose vs LSU. OU (although I despise them and will cheer like hell for TCU) almost never loses at home.
OU and Texas have more talent. I'd call Texas a Toss up. I'll give you OSU as a toss up, but playing them there I still think you lose. Hell, people were saying OSU may win the conference!

I stand by my statement you won't win 10. I'll pull for you in all the games but 2. I'd consider it a fantastic yr if you get to 10 with the bowl victory.

I SAID that the notion that each and every week in the SEC is brutal is a farce.
If it is such a farce, why is beating a mid level SEC team in a bowl game celebrated with such enthusiasm by crap conferences such as the Big 1.4
