Mike Patrick is a great announcer but he was annoying as frick at the end of that game. There was no chance of the clock running out. The clock operator let three seconds tick off after Byrd scored. But Mike Patrick said if it's incomplete they lose about four times and it perpetuated the story of Les almost blowing it.

That's true. I don't know why but the clock just kept ticking after the TD was called.

Still cut it too close on that one...ball gets batted in the air and you never know....we were taking too much time, I was yelling that in the stands at the time

I saw the clock ticking down from 20 seconds, to 16 seconds, and more. I was shitting a brick. "What is Les waiting on!?", I screamed.
Flynn went back, set up to throw, and I closed my eyes and put my head down. I listened to the room's reaction.
All my buddies and my wife started screaming and jumping up and down.
"No fricking way", I thought. "No fricking way".
I opened my eyes and looked at the tv. LSU was celebrating. We won. We finally won.

Yeah, games like this are incredible when you win them. Don't know about you though, but I LOVED the 2011 regular season. Every last blowout.

Precisely!! Incomplete pass and we definitely have time for the field goal. Les caught some unwarranted heat for that one.

I get nervous as shite with these kinds of games but for the life of me I will NEVER understand this kind of shite. No matter what kind of knots my stomach is in, I cannot take my eyes off the action. HAVE to watch it.
