I was there!

I even ran on the field after the game. Twice.

I remember watching that inside a random bowling alley in a random Wyoming town in the middle of nowhere. I'll never forget that.

That was great to watch. Thanks for posting the link. I was there and it was top 5 sporting event experiences for me.

Watching the video reminded me of how important Trey Hodges was to our post season run that year. He was rocked during the regular season and then from the SEC Tournament on he started throwing nasty stuff that couldn't be hit. He deserved the MOP of the CWS for sure.

What year were gorilla ball bats killed off?

Wasn't there a big deduction in bat size after the 98 title game between ASU and USC?

Pulling their lights-out starter for their co-ace in around inning 5 or 6 was the worst move I've seen a coach make.

Still one of my favorite moments from that game...bottom of the 8th, just as Jeremy Whitten's HR clears the wall to tie the game, Tigers fans in that area get in the grill of Stanford's LF Topham.

this can't be said enough. I was lucky enough to make it out there in 2009. Getting rid of it was a disgrace

those were the toned down ones too

but at least the tournament was fun to watch then. It's a miserable shite pit of an event now

Great clip to get off to a good start on a Friday morning.

That's another game that I remember exactly where I was. Had just purchased a boat in Orange Beach and was listening to "The Voice" on the way home. The wife even called Witten's dinger. When Cresse hit the game winner we were coming from Alabama into Mississippi. Stopped at the rest area, got out of the truck and ran around screaming "L S U" in the parking lot. Good times!!!

Thank you for posting. I remember this well.

I was a Japan Airlines DC10 Captain on the way to Tokyo from Honolulu listening to the game on HF over the Pacific. Although there was a lot of static and the signal was fading in and out, the signal was very clear at the time of Cresse's base hit.

A particularly memorable game because of my location when the base hit occurred.

I will never forget it.

It doesn't get the love of the other walk off win but it's worthy for sure.

I was at Disney World Epcot. First ever visit and yeah I was Adult age (33 or so). Anyway some bar in Epcot in one of the worlds had the game on and we somehow walked in right around the bttm of the eighth. Place went wild with the win, wasn't a LSU crowd or anything, they just enjoyed the finish, was pretty cool. Many of these folks weren't even Americans

That at-bat by Barbier was one of the best I have ever seen. Wish the link showed how hard he fought for that Homer.
