Was at both games as a 10 year old. 2000-2003 was such a magical climb. Wish I could have known then that 8-4 would never be good enough for the rest of my life

LSU's four losses were to Auburn (legit loss), UAB (I still don't know how we lost to UAB), Florida (very legit loss), and a late season "oops" loss to Arkansas.

We should have went 9-2 that year and played in a more competitive bowl game.

Josh Reed was so sick. Easily the best WR in LSU history.

I was at that terrible game. That was Saban's LSU version of his Bama 21-14 loss to ULM in 2007.

My second game in TS. Made up for my first game which was the shellacking we took from Ole Miss in 99.

OP,

Thanks for sharing this. I just watched the final play of the MSU game and it's amazing to see how emotional that win was for the players and coaches. It's funny to see Nick Saban leaping in the air to hug Rohan Davey to celebrate a win over Mississippi State.

I swear, he looked happier after that game than he did in some of his national title victories.

This is my ALL TIME favorite LSU game, even though I could not attend (living out of the country at the time). I had season tickets 98,99 and 02-07, attend ALL home games in that span and BCS CG vs. Oklahoma. But listening to that game over the internet at 2AM and then rewatching over and over again on grainy VHS is still my favorite. DAMN I wish I could have seen Ro to Reed live. I feel like I was robbed by missing that experience.
