It's been a while since i set up my own tailgating spot. I was looking to find a spot to do some tailgating on campus in a spot where i dont need a parking pass. I used to go where the old golf course was on Nicholson but i dont think that is open any more. Please advise Thanks

If the wind is blowing from the south, the hayfield lot can be a bit tough to take because it's right across the street from the dairy cows. The old front 9 is a good spot, but fills up pretty early. Parker coliseum may be a good spot and is paved. Normally I prefer to be on grass, but with a 40% chance of rain, that may be the better option.

Good question. We are doing the same this weekend. Do the pay lots by the parade grounds and quad fill up early on Sat. morning.

if we get there before 11, is there a good chance to get in at the old front 9?

i tailgate there and i would say you're cutting it close

id get there at 10 but you still will probably only be able to park your car there....you will have a tough time finding a spot

Parking is all I really need. It's just me and one other guy and we plan on moving around a lot. I thought that area would be good for after the game so we can hit walk ons or something while traffic alleviates.

Thanks walt

There's plenty of parking along Nicholson near Walk Ons and the hotel

another good thing about getting there early IMO is not having to put up with the traffic, trying to fiind a spot, and avoiding running over fricktards that think they can walk in front of you

come by and have a beer...just listen for the music and you'll find my spot
