Did anyone else notice,How he got great penetration on a lot of plays, but never seemed to be able to shed his blocker.
On quite a few plays he would be in the backfield on par with the qb or rb and just couldn't shed his blocker.
Overall I was pleased with his performance but didn't see the clog I thought I would.. He gets a lot of pressure up the middle but, his body would almost always be off balance. I was expecting Hulk abilities.

He was a mixed bag. He'd look great one play and get pushed back five yards the next.

Yes I noticed this, but saw at least 3-4 times he was in the backfield and was getting held seriously from the OL with no call. Overall, he played good and was LIGHT YEARS ahead of Gilmore

Dude. He's a 3-4 DT ---which means he's eating 2 O-lineman every play
His job is to free up the LB'ers. He did a good job I thought. With CL out, and our O shite for the first half, he was gassed, but pushed the line back several times. Was impressed

i dont think he has played alot since highschool and they guy was doing his job eating up 2 blockers and played most of the game. im sure a big man like that got tired after the 1st quarter playing the whole thing

You're out of your mind. He played very well in his first game after barely practicing against an elite OL.
Dude got double and triple teamed which is his job. He pushed two guys back into the play several times.
He's huge, he's not ever going to be an every down player.

He did his job which is to keep two o lineman occupied. Beckwith had a horrible first half

I noticed as well but, thought maybe it was just me he would bull the guy and could never seem to get free.. My thoughts were either that's a hold or the other guy has unreal leverage.

Looks like conditioning is a major problem for him to me. Sometimes he was holding the middle and sometimes he got pushed around a bit. Looks raw to me and needs to condition himself better. He played okay not great. Big difference between him and Gilmore though. Gilmore looked awful.

His purpose is to be a huge arse speed bump. I thought he played great.
