Well we do play 14 games a season now-a-days. 10 wins doesn't mean nearly as much as it used to.

If true, then explain why in the hell Notre Dame has sucked since the 90s. And after you do that, please explain Georgia's recent seasons (and ask yourself how, with all of their talent, hasn't made it to the BCSCG). And don't get me started on Texas's record the last two years...

LSU has only 12 10 win seasons in its history. Les Miles has 5 of them and before you start talking 12 game season none of those seasons

Sure doesn't hurt him that he gets at least 13 games a year and on some years, 14, right?

I am sick of these "10 win" seasons crap. He gets a ton of crap wins against shite teams to pad that stat.

Saban's stats are similarly getting padded as are every big name coach. Les is overhyped by his win total which has and always will have more to do with his team and Louisiana's talent than his coaching ability.

True, if the homegrown talent stays in LA.

Bobby calls it as he sees it and represents about what 90% of the fans are think.

Miles' gameplan and stubbornness to make a qb change need to be addressed. He is making millions of dollars. He needs to be responsible for his actions.

I don't think it is tearing down lsu football. It is trying to improve it by calling out Miles to fix his $hit. Keep it up Bobby.

I believe I addressed this in my post....if 10 wins was the standard during the 11 game regular season (which spans most of the modern era) then you can set 11 wins as the number in the 12 game era no? Seeing all five of those season were 11 win seasons then it still is extremely successful.

Im pretty sure he was talking about next year with the talent they have. In a 12 game season with lsus talent its pretty close but i would set the number to 9.

No, you can't. Because there weren't 50 bowl games back then and many, many 9 win teams didn't go bowling. Furthermore, Les has greatly benefited with the removal of ties from college football. While he may lose a couple of those games he's won more that would've been ties than he's won.

If I was Head Coach, we finish with one loss, and that's to Bama. Look how Oregon, Arkansas, and Georgia all ended. There's no coaching needed in those games. We just man handled them. No amount of coaching can over come the gap in talent we have.

Not SEC teams. The only LSU team that I know of that won 9 games and got screwed out of a bowl was the 69 team that was the year the Irish randomly lifted its no bowl policy. Other than that since the advent of an 11 game season all LSU 9 win teams were invited to bowls. If Im wrong feel free to correct me. I stand by 11 wins is the new standard.

I really dont get this argument-who assembled that talent? Les Miles. Guess who didnt on a regular enough basis to win like he did-Cholly Mac Jerry Stovall Bill Arnsparger Mike Archer Curley Hallman and Gerry Dinardo.

We won 8 games and a bowl game after giving the other teams 49 points in 2008, so I'd say, true.

I'll take it. Some of you guys have clearly forgotten the sting of watching LSU get hammered, at night, in Tiger Stadium, week after miserable week.

We just went 13-1 and won the SEC. Outright. If Miles is as big a boob as everyone says and just wins because he can recruit his arse off, fine by me.

False. Patently false. And a foolish assertion.

I think Hebert has an unwholesome agenda. His loud complaining over Miles' supposed idiocy looks like a cheap attention getting ploy -- an opportunity to turn the spotlight on himself.

He's spoken his piece. It's time to be quiet and let it go. It's football, for heaven's sake, not life and death.
