COMPARISON
Deshaun Watson
HOUSTON TEXANS
Possesses a naturally slender build and frame. Narrow through the shoulders and upper body. Should tack on some bulk at the next level once he gets in a college strength program. Tests as one of the better athletes among the quarterbacks in the 2019 cycle. Has a quick, compact throwing motion with the ability to drive the ball downfield from the pocket and off-platform. Does a nice job of changing ball speed and putting touch on throws. Adept at operating a high octane spread offense. Reads defenses and quickly identifies coverage busts. Dangerous in the RPO game with his vision, quick trigger and running ability. A legitimate run threat who stresses defenses not only as a vertical and quick passer but with the ability to rip off chunk runs and pull away from some defensive backs at the second level. Is the most prolific top quarterback from a stats perspective in the 2019 cycle. Can continue improving the consistency of his mechanics and release. Will need to add significant mass to sustain hits at the next level. Projects as a multi-year Power 5 starter with the upside of being an all-league quarterback at the helm of a highly productive offense if put in the right situation. Projects to an early round NFL draft selection.
Athletic Background
Jayden Daniels is a 6-3, 175-pound Dual-Threat Quarterback from San Bernardino, CA.

Good point there’s a lot of cross over on the bitches that cry about recruiting rankings and posters who think they know more than the coaches when it comes to QB play.

I’ve been saying Daniels will be the guy, and it does go back to him in HS some. He was legit, legit in HS, and his true freshman season at AZ state. I believe his last couple of years in HS he threw for over 5,000 both times at a California powerhouse. People gotta trust the staff man.

don’t give this guy a chance! start the 50% career passer!

They switched to having strong opinions based on a spring scrimmage.

probably because reports we have heard directly conflict with those assessments?? other than great run ability?
we have heard out of camp he has trouble making reads, bad footwork and accuracy issues. i won't even discuss turnovers at ASU.
ok so who is lying?? i'm curious

Saw an article with an NFL Scout interview that had him ranked very high.

And yet the coach who has tens of millions on the line chooses him to lead the team?

Will definitely take this minus the rapeyness (allegedly)

It amazes me how people get mad that DANIELS most likely is the starter when the coaches have been there everyday and us computer nerds sitting at home think we know best. I am sure the guys making the millions of dollars and have everything on the line are gonna purposely pick the wrong QB. They believe he gives the team the best chance to win. If they are wrong and Nuss comes in and does well then they made the wrong choice. They are both talented and the one that can win will play.

There is a big difference between being 175 lbs and a statue vs being 175 lbs and a moving target. MB had to put weight on or he was going to get killed. Conversely, Daniels is a lot harder to hit. As an extreme example, think Tindon Holliday. He was tiny but didn't get hurt

Also you have to remember those were thing about him coming out of high school. Arizona St did absolutely nothing to develop him. If he had gone to say an Ohio St or Oklahoma, he would have balled out and already gone.

175 in HS. He's been in college 4 YEARS and is listed at 200 lbs.
