Sitting here watching the Stanford-OSU game and thinking how entertaining it would have been for LSU to play a team it hadn't played before and also from another conference. It's enjoyable to watch the Tigers dominate conference after conference and to watch the dismay of their fans. LSU beating bama again just doesn't have the entertainment value.

I was just thinking the same thing. We'd prolly be beating either one pretty handily by now. Instead we'll be white knuckling it again against the bammers who will be after our heads.

I totally disagree with that

But sure would have been easier vs either of these two

Okie St. looks horrible, we'd destroy them.

Both of these teams are boring to watch right now.

Matt Millen isn't helping things.

Okie St. is living up to their 2587945th defensive ranking.

OSU is exactly who I thought they were and not worthy of playing for the title. They are not an elite team.

One thing about OSU, Blackmon is a force of nature.

Only reason I would want to play OSU is so we can say we beat the following conference champions;

Big XII
Big East
PAC 12

Total domination.

It's funny but I think some people actually believe this.

These games totally highlight the fact that LSU and Alabama are the two best teams in the country. I want to play BAMA. Any other matchup would be watered down.

Please...that's the kind of thinking that kept them out of the title game. What is an elite team? Their defensive numbers are crappy, but that can be attributed to a number of factors relating to their offense.

Don't you think them being sent to the Fiesta Bowl might have taken some wind out of their sails? Though, with this being their first BCS game ever would have had them excited regardless.

Bottom line: I think they had done more this season than Alabama to deserve a shot. Alabama got rewarded for having the number one team in the country in the same division.

Agree completely.

Bama is a beast. But Monday night will be awesome.

Evidently, the majority of people who follow college football for a living and vote on this stuff thought so as well.

No, their defense is shitty. Very shitty.

They don't look any worse than they have all year. This is just the best team they have faced.

Played worse competition, have a crappy defense, lost to Iowa State. Bama and LSU are in a league by themselves. Bottom line, OSU is closer to Arkansas in quality than it is LSU or Bama

Okie's schedule was better than Bama's. They have a crppy defense but a good offense. Okie is probably comparable to Ark, and Bama is probably much better, i agree with u. But in every other year teams are judged by their body of work. Not by eye tests or defensive stats. Which is a good thing bc lsu probably fails the eyeball test in 2007. Georgia and USC were both looking better.
