You don't even think about game 3 if you have a real chance in game 2. By any means necessary close it out. Coleman, Herring, Cooper, Guidry whoever you think can do it

The recipe is for Skenes to go 9 in game 1 and Floyd to go 9 in game 2…

Why don’t you just do this for game 2 and be done with it? The playing for tomorrow shite is getting old.

Because if Skenes wins game 1 our opponent has to do everything it can to win game 2. They'll be burning their best available pitching and potentially even be using their ace if they throw off to avoid Skenes or a combo of their #2 and #3 starters if our bats can keep it interesting.

If we go Skenes, Floyd, TBD then we have an advantage in game 1, 2 is likely a toss up, and 3 we are at a disadvantage.

If we go Skenes, Money, Floyd then we have advantage game 1, disadvantage game 2, and advantage game 3

No Skenes in game one. Game two.
I’m not sure I would even pitch Floyd in game one, assuming we are playing the four seed.

I would take my chances with someone like Money and save Floyd for later.

Correction. The above comment was meant for the first weekend, not the second.

Certainly not with elimination on the line. Too much can happen in one game.

If there is a game 3, start Money

Bring in Skenes to close it out if close. He could pitch 1-2 innings if needed.

Stupid suggestion. And no, this suggestion is never right even if we lose game 1 with Skenes. You do not give a team momentum by conceding the first game in a best out of 3. It's a dumb suggestion and it also shows how much of a pussy your coach is with confidence level. How do you think it makes the player's feel on confidence when your own coach shits on you?

They're setup better to win a super even against a good team over a regional where they're forced to play 3 games regardless.

Regional
Floyd
Skenes
Money
You can’t take a chance burning pitching early with this team. You need Floyd and Skenes to eat innings and save pitching depth to back Money in championship.

Super
Skenes
Floyd
Money

Just because a team is a four seed does not make the a slouch team. Teams that are hot carry momentum and wins. Champs are not necessary the hi seeds.

The type of 4 seed we should get should be a team we can handle with Money or Coleman or both.

You are correct that there are going to be good 4 seeds out there. We shouldn't be given one of them though.

Stony Brook was a 4 seed if I recall correctly. They may use Money on day 1 depending on who the opponent is. If it's a team with weak bats he might be a good option to save Floyd/Skenes.

If the 4 seed can hit you use Floyd.
