I looked in several places...does anyone know what the OVERALL NCAA SUPER Regional record is for Home teams? Then LSU record?

My point is that I am not sure how much a Home Field Advantage there is for Super Regional Teams..mainly based on proximity of the way NCAA seeds teams.

Over-Under if I get an Answer on this within 10 posts...I am going with the Over for $200...

We're 7-2 at home in super regionals, 0-3 on the road so home teams are 10-2 when we're involved

The fact that we've never won a super regional game OUTSIDE OF LOUISIANA makes the whole "do we really want a national seed" argument so fricking dumb.

From the link above for those who didn't click through:
quote:

In the Last 10 years:
67.5% of #1 seeds won their regional
67.5% of Super Regional hosts made it to the CWS
48.75% of National Seeds made it to the CWS
22.5% of #1 seeds not National Seeds made it to the CWS
20% of the last 10 champions were National Seeds
60% of the last 10 champions hosted a Super Regional

Interesting that a team is exactly as likely to move on as host of a Regional as it is as host of a Super Regional. I wouldn't have guessed that.

2016: 3 of 8 teams that hosted super advanced (host team didn't win CWS)
2015: 6 of 8 (host team won CWS)
2014: 6 of 8 (host team won CWS)
2013: 4 of 8 (host team didn't win CWS)
2012: 5 of 8 (host team won CWS)
2011: 7 of 8 (host team won CWS)
2010: 5 of 8 (host team didn't win CWS)
2009: 5 of 8 (host team won CWS)

Can we put this argument to bed now? If you want to win the title, it is in your best interest to host a super regional.

Kind of baffling that anyone ever considered it an "argument"

Yeah I think I remember that thread now. I think he basically insinuated we should just chill out down the home stretch and not worry about getting a national seed to "rest" or some shite?

Yes...because he believes we burn too much "mental energy" trying to get a national seed.

You can bet your arse off, if we happen to lose before Omaha, that he will bump that thread and be here to beat on his chest to say he was right.

For those of you that stay on TD 24-7, apologies (not really) but if I read the post correct from above; 48.75% of National Seeds made it to the CWS??

While obviously it is better to HOST than NOT, someone explain the 48.75% to me. Clearly, it is better to be a 1 seed in the NCAA than NOT....

This stat doesn't seem to support that argument.
