Suggestion for Oregon fans... BRING BEER!

Oregon is known for their beer with many in state brewers (most per capita as I understand it). LSU fans, on the other hand, have a reputation for their ability to consume vast quantities of beer. I would suggest that Oregon fans should talk to their local brewers, and after discussion of the fine economic potential that LSU fans represent, you should try to convince them to bring some free samples out to tailgaters before the game.

Great idea. We can bring samples of LSU's very own "Purple Heart" Lager

From a native Oregonian who loves the microbrews up there, I plan on tailgaiting with one from down South--Shiner. Fell in love when I first moved to Texas and haven't been able to break it off.

You got that right. I am a native from Amite, LA and LSU alum in 2000 but living in Portland for 5 years now. Living here has made me a beer snob, but its easy to be one because Portland is now considered the beer capitol of the world. I have not had a Coors or Bud product since Ive been here and actually consider it to be horse piss. Look for these Oregon beers if the Duck fans bring them as they are my favorites:
1) Ninkasi Total Domination IPA (out of Eugene)
2) Double Mountain Vaporizer (Hood River)
3) Deschutes Abyss (Bend)
4) Hair of the Dog From the Wood (Portland)
5) Amnesia Copacetic IPA (Portland)

Not really.... That's more of a southern/redneck/high school beer of choice. Abita, mickey U, and shinner bock are the beers of choice for most everyone I know. My grandpa is the only one who drinks Budwiser consistently.

I hang out with some people who will only drink bud light. Now, I have some friends who enjoy nothing better than a good microbrew. I will drink the "domestics" but I'd much rather a good microbrew.

They need to get some ABITA ANDY GATOR. After drinking 6 pack of those puppies, i'm feeling good.
But sice we will be in texas we have really started liking ST ARNOLDS - FANCY LAWNMOWER (which we renamed to BROKEN WEEDEATERS - after getting smashed the first night trying it.) for some reason, that was easier to remember
its microbrewery in houston.

LOL! They only come in 22oz bottles and I doubt you are drinking 6 of those strong mfckers.
Seriously though, I'm a big fan of dark micro-brews, but is is going to be hot as balls out there on game day. I wouldn't enjoy drinking dark stuff out there.

What the hell are you talking about? Abita and Bourbon is what is prevalent.

I don't like most domestics. That said, Coors Lite is a godsend for tailgating. It goes down like water & is very refreshing.

Is it more or less expensive than bottled water? Just asking.
