People are gonna grill you because you might be sugar bowl thread number 10 but I do hope we're in.

I still think it's Auburn. I will tune in Tuesday regardless.

Auburn better drop far as shite. LSU could jump them.

Possible.
My best educated guess is Auburn ranked #17 or #18 and LSU ranked #19, but it is certainly within the realm of possible that the committee puts more weight on last game played and flips the two teams based on LSU firing the coach and having a "second season" under O and LSU having played an overall more competitive game versus #1 Bama.
The head-to-head argument is a hard one to overcome, though, so they may very well keep Aub ahead of LSU. My counter argument would be that the Aub-LSU was so early in the season, it literally could have gone either way (and actually did for a moment lol), it was on the road, it was obviously under Miles, so while the game can't simply be thrown out it probably shouldn't hold the same weight relative to other head-to-head
Matchups.
And If it's "too close to call," ask yourself this.. Who is the better team right now? LSU is the better team, no doubt in my mind they would beat auburn right now. I believe someone in another thread said that according to oddsmakers m LSU would be favored by 6 against Auburn on a neutral field.

LSU's 10-0 loss to Bama dropped them 13 spots....LSU played a much closer game so in all fairness, Auburn should drop quite a bit. The Tigers had an impressive win over a team that beat Auburn!!

Quite frankly I just dont see but about 4-5 teams that will pass Auburn in the rankings ... FSU, West Virginia, WMichigan, Stanford, maybe Navy... And possibly LSU
That puts Auburn at #18 or #19
I think LSU jumps in the rankings right about that same spot as well, ahead of Nebraska/Tenn/Boise/Houston/Utah/WashSt
It could go either way with auburn above LSU or vice versa ... I'd imagine the head to head win will keep AubAub in front of us. Let's hope the O factor and second season stuff carries weight

Solid post. You have done more research than I have.

Does anyone know what factors they look at, if any? I.E. Strength of schedule, home/away losses.

Please look at these teams in their last few games. LSU is better than Auburn.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 4:00 am to GoldenBoy
I don't disagree but idk how the committee will see it.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 4:09 am to tigerfan84
If the committee can't see that, I don't know why we have a committee.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 4:14 am to GoldenBoy
Well look at how far those idiots dropped us after bama

The Sugar Bowl will want a team that brings fans in for multiple night stays.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 5:50 am to PlanoPrivateer
It doesn't matter who the sugar wants. They have to take the second ranked SEC team.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 6:12 am to GoldenBoy
LSU doesn't deserve to be in the sugar bowl. A
We've screwed up too many times this year and only have 7 wins. The sugar bowl and whoever the other team will be deserves better.

Don't see any way we jump them since we were unranked coming in. Both Florida and auburn have the head to head argument. Will most likely end up in Outback.
Posted on 11/27/16 at 6:36 am to otowntiger
Ok, who? Everyone else will have 4 losses.

I have a really ig question.....how did we only end up playing 11 games and everyone else played 12?
