Stupid schedule.

So after every teams first 2 pitchers are unavailable the 2 out of 3 starts. With LSU, Oregon State and now Florida with an injured or suspended pitcher we get to watch what, when the best 2 of 3 starts. Why not play next week end when the last 2 teams can at least start 2 of their best?

it rewards staying in the winners bracket. everyone knows the rules going in. This is the best format to find the best team. IMO.

Because it's costly to stay and costly to go back to Omaha and the following weekend is July 4th weekend.
Everything would be more expensive on that holiday weekend from airfare to hotels.

It's not like the rules are different for specific teams. Win or go home.

It's a brand new sport. They'll work out the wrinkles once it's been around awhile.

Just means you should focus on getting the best pitchers you can
The system works and the best team usually wins. It's equal for every team and the route to the CWS is already long enough. Shows who has the best depth at pitching.

One more day would be nice and that's what you get when you sweep the first 3 games. But, no one did that this year
