As a reminder, full time students with an overall GPA of 2.0 or better are admitted free to all men’s basketball home games by presenting their most recent LSUID at the student entrance.

Help an old-timer out here...how does your GPA factor in to whether to get into a basketball game ?

LSU does kick out everyone living in dorms over winter break. You take that and factor in most kids do not live in a 30 minute radius of campus along with Christmas break being the only time to go home for some college students and visit with their families. Seems like only students or parents of students are the only ones to realize this.

My best guess is LSU wants your studies to come first before attending a basketball game. Handle business in the classroom then you will have time for fun.

That's nice and everything, but you need the ones that are 1.5 and below and don't know if they will make the full year to be in the house. They're usually fun.

I looked it up the other day and 8,000-10,000 students come ftom the greater baton rouge area. And I guarantee you that 99.999% of those students aren't being forced to stay home every minute of their Christmas break. The students are on Christmas break and all far away from campus excuse is not a valid excuse to not go to games.

You do realize you are talking about college students right? Most students picked up a temporary job or want to enjoy their hobbies while on break. I know I don’t get to be in the woods as much as I would like due to college so I try to spend as much time there as I can. My point is, our world does not revolve around LSU basketball.

And that's why none of yall should ever complain about not having the best seats in the house.

I will be there, but I guarantee you fewer than 1,000 students even contemplate coming tonight.

9k. Book it. And I will take it.

I suspect the years of losing may be correlative with the waning enthusiasm of the fans.

16 years ago today, 12-21-2002, LSU played Arizona in the PMAC, and the student section along with the rest of the PMAC was packed. No, Furman is not Arizona, but if that game were today, we would see a multitude of reasons why the students did not attend the game. Current students love to find reasons not attend LSU sporting events or leave early.

It was their 3rd game in their brand new stadium of course they showed up. LSU needs to upgrade like UH did, the place was nice and served great food and beer.

Students still wouldn’t show up

There is no excuse. The fact is that 95% of students don't give two shits about LSU basketball, and people on here just need to accept that.

I'd say that number is closer to 500.
