you are right. duke used to say chants like that at their basketball games. and started getting in trouble for it.

i don't like it, but i also said i remember what it was like to be that age and i probably would have thought these chants were great. now i am just older and actually respect people around me.

Hey DAZtigers - I am in the minority on this board that agree with you. I was a student from 95-00 and acted like a drunken arse most of that time. i used to post on a few different lsu boards back then and listen to the 'older guys' talk about how the student section needed to grow up. I wasnt willing to listen then much like most students aren't gonna listen today. instead, they'll be on this board or another in a few years saying the same thing as you and i.

our problem then wasnt so much the vulgarity as much as things like beach balls, the wave, and booing. it's amazing how differently you see things when you leave the student section.

What is truly dumb is behaviour that affects the TS atmosphere negatively. What negativity, you ask? The band has already been told to NOT play some of the clssics of Tiger football. How far are you guys willing to go so you can say F--K? THAT is dumb.

Tell ya what: lock yourself in a soundproof room and say it as loud and for as long as you want. See if you feel better.
