I'm thinking about creating a novel that takes place at LSU. I'm not sure if it's a stupid idea or not. I've got some of it done but I don't know if I'm just wasting time.

If your writing is anything like the thread title and OP, you might be wasting your time.
In all honesty though, if the setting is LSU, cool, but I wouldn't make it a focal point of the story.
