With the talent he has at WR and RB, he should average 2 a game, if he is as good as everyone says he will be. Haven't seen it yet but time will tell.
Holy shite. So you think he should set the lsu single season passing td record?

I'm not saying I don't see any reason that a fan should be nervous. I'm saying that there is no reason to believe he won't be better both (1) because he's healthy and (2) because he has a season under his belt (and the most difficult season for a QB, his first as a starter).
The thing that concerns me MORE is whether our O line will give him a chance to be successful this year, especially early on. As we've seen, the greatest QBs on the planet look like crap when their O line is getting them killed. And, while there is a lot of talent on this O line, they have yet to play a down together. Sometimes, an O line needs time to gel and become cohesive before they become a force.

Put Brandon Harris on the 2011 team and we might win it all
Again, our qb play in 2011 was decent. It was better than any season Harris has had.
What makes you think Harris wouldve done better than 20td-4ints?

If we play in 15 games, maybe. Is it crazy to think that a decent QB with a shite load of talent couldn't average 2 a game? Outside of a few games, the defenses we play this year aren't all-stars.

I get it. There is no reason a 2 year starter shouldn't be better in their second year. But your thread title "Stop worrying about BH" won't stop me from worrying about the most important element to our success.

What? We play in the most defensive talent rich division in cfb and we also play the most talented defense in the eastern division. There have been 2 qbs in lsu history to throw for 28 tds. So yeah its too much to ask for Harris to average 2 passing tds per game.

Oh, man, don't get me started on the schlock special teams we stunk up the field with last year. It was like the anti-2011 team from a special teams standpoint.

Worst special teams in lsu history.

When 3 of the starting 5 offensive lineman have a total of 3 combined starts, you should get a little worried.

Les Miles had lied to us in a past year before saying the line was closer to 5 star when in reality the line was closer to 3 star. So there is no certainty until the ball is on the line.
Stars don't mean much. Mathieu was a 3 star at best. Look at him now.
It is about performance once you GET to the college level. I agree, his line needs to give him more time. If they start lighting him up too soon it will shake him and that can be hard to overcome.

Our qb play in 2011 was pretty damn solid. 20tds-4 ints both over 60% completion both over 138 qb rating.
I'll grant that. Jared Lee played pretty well in spots, and it's unfair to pretend otherwise, but the '11 QB play was merely 'adequate.'
However, the play was inadequate in the biggest games, against Alabama (both times) and Georgia.

THANKS FOR POSTING THAT IT MADE ME FEEL BETTER

I agree 100% All the talk is on Harris, yet nothing on WRs, or OL. Will the pass blocking improve, with the pass catchers actually catch passes consistently? That goes to all pass catchers minus Fournette. Will the pass catchers get more aggressive, another big problem our guys have.
I expect improvement from QB, OL, and pass catchers, so I'm not worried.

Please offensive line, if Brandon passes the ball and you look up and see the receiver with the ball running free DON'T REACH OUT AND HOLD SOMEONE.
