This Tiger team is playing 20 freshman in games....there may be some setbacks yet this year-and I would not be surprised-but I feel good about the future and direction of the program.

the last head coach did that few times with better results

Playing freshmen is nothing new at LSU .

3 freshmen started on defense Saturday. Usually it's 2.
3 freshmen started on offense , as well.

19 of 22 starters for most of the year have been in the program for 3 or more years.

Freshmen always get some playin time at LSU . Been the case for almost two decades.
