I think he had a sling on his right arm.

I saw him walk in front of my section after the game and he was fully dressed out and wasn’t wearing any sling or anything

With conference play you have to narrow the rotation even if those guys aren’t 100%

Collins dealt with an injury for a while. Mwani played during auburn randomly so he’s healthy. Stewart been hurt

Mwani has been a scrappy guy all his career but the fact is this: he can shoot a corner 3 and dunk. Defense is above average. He literally cannot dribble. He’s kind of a liability everywhere. He’s a good dude but is what it is.

Hannibal needs to play less, other than that’d McMahon is doing what needs to be done

Hannibal has zero…ZERO shot. Turns it over in wild times. He randomly will go off when down by 20.

Wild you would take up for that guy lol.

He provides more to the team than what shows on the box score, and he also was one of the few players who showed any heart or hustle last season. With just that, I’ll look over his lack of stats.

Dude you are talking out your arse. Hannibal is so good at penetrating — legitimate threat to finish or dish. Plays strong & sometimes feels like a second PG.

Awful take.

It’s not

What’s awful is that people think flying into the lane is good basketball.

Hannibal is a 6 foot guard who can’t shoot. He absolutely can get to the rim. No denying that. No denying he plays with his hair on fire….but he is a liability. He’s so easy to gameplan against. He doesn’t have great athleticism. He has strength. So I tell my bigs to keep hands up, play 4-5 feet off.

McMahon has taken his minutes away. Have y’all not noticed? Lol. He sees what I see. I think he should get 10mpg, McMahon gives him 14-16mpg.

Ward and Williams give you so much more it’s insane.

21 mpg in 3 SEC games coming into tonight lol

That is 5th on the team. Firmly making him a rotation player.

Appreciate Hannibal's effort but he is a turnover machine. Not a point guard.

You act like he does this compulsively & ruins possessions. You act like he gets called for charges & never finishes. Whenever he takes, it’s usually timely creating something out of nothing and warranted. He has much higher basketball IQ than you are giving him credit for.

He is quick enough & crafty enough that he can slice his way through the middle of a zone. It just gives the team one more way to create offense.

Also, playing with your hair on fire every second makes a dependable defender + good for a few rebounds & hustle balls.

If I was gonna criticize someone’s play I guess it’d be Baker… what’d trae do to you?

I’m not agreeing that he shouldn’t play. I think 15-20 mpg is fine. He brings a toughness and scrappiness that this team needs.

BUT

My biggest issue with him is that he doesn’t have a plan when he drives. Or maybe he has too much of a set plan. He drives deciding before hand whether he’s gonna shoot or pass regardless of what actually happens. So we end up with him trying to score when the whole defense collapses or jumping and looking to pass when he has a look. It feels like when he does make the right play it’s simply because he guessed right that time. The main problem is that he seems to guess wrong at the most in opportune times.

If we could get him to play just a tad more under control or get him to be just slightly better at reading the defense then he’d be SO much better even without a jump shot.

This I will accept. He’s not Darrel Mitchell.
I’m basically just arguing that he provides value & “play less” is hyperbolic.

I wondered about Wilkinson, who earlier in his LSU days, got quite a bit of playing time.

But until it was mentioned on the telecast, I had not really thought about the others.

And it seems like Hannibal is getting about the proper amount of minutes. He was the main player who did much in the Auburn game.
