Geez. How pathetic are we that we will give a raise to a DC that nobody was inspired about when he was hired, and nobody has been overly impressed with since he arrived? I say let him go, then try to hire a proven DC. If we can't quickly hire one, promote Coach O and go after a new defensive assistant.

Please let auburn take him. He's way overpaid for what he's doing.

9th highest paid assistant coach in CFB, 5th best defense in the SEC. Does not compute

I am so conflicted. I want a homerun hire for a D Coordinator, but if Steele goes, who is LSU going to get with the Les situation? Supposedly that's why Steele was all LSU could get "last minute".

I am not sold on Steele being the answer, so seeing him go would relieve me at this point, but not with out a decent replacement. O has not been a D coordinator, so not sold on him being the solution, but maybe he's capable.

Let me guess, Cam is going to be reported as leaving the program too. Only to stay put.

It feels like we just made a couple nice stops, only to give it up on 3rd and 12.

Steele is a good man and a nice guy. I'm just getting the justification started for when we keep him.

He gets a fricking raise???

I messed up not becoming a football coach. Even a position coach at a non-power school Can earn $200k and their expenses are pretty much zero outside of a mortgage.
