Just using this to get more money and a longer contract. Why would he leave LSU for Auburn? He gives up over 20 points a game and has a 500k buyout, nobody is going to pay that and give him 1M+ after having a below average year with superior talent.

The Advocate has already reported he's gone. He and Auburn are splitting the buyout. That is too fricking funny!

Auburn and Steele are splitting the buyout, plus this pension talk.

Steele has absolutely zero leverage. 90% of the fanbase wants him gone and our defense was not good this year.

Did nobody learn their lesson from the miles situation? Until he is officially announced the new DC he is on the staff.

Why was he hired in the first place? Alleva is a dumbass, don't be surprised for anything.

Apples to oranges. You're comparing firing a coach to a guy wanting to leave for logical financial reasons.

Handpicked by Miles.

Do you really think Alleva made the DC choice for Les Miles? You can't be that dumb.

It's the whole fire the head coach behind his back Alleva fiasco fallout. Who would want to be an assistant at LSU right now knowing the ax will fall on all the staff very shortly?
