Has any of you regular CWS goers ever stayed in Lincoln? It's only an hour away and is much cheaper. It will be me and my 2 boys and we would only be in Lincoln to sleep. What's your thoughts? #inbeforeOTpoor

I'd check Council Bluffs, IA before Lincoln

Have you looked for anything closer than Lincoln? Council Bluffs, Iowa?

I stayed in Lincoln in 03 or 04. Was an easy drive back and forth but I don't know if I would recommend it. Toured Nebraska's stadium which was pretty cool.

I wouldn't do that. Depending on time of day traffic is really going to frick you up.

Council Bluffs or even Missouri Valley would be better. mo valley would be 30 minutes or so form the park.

LSU Alumni just sent an email and said, "Call Fairfield Inn & Suites, Omaha Downtown, 1501 Nicholas Street, Omaha NE 68102" and ask for the LSU Alumni rate. Located a block away from TD Ameritrade Stadium, you can't get any closer to the action. Call 402-280-1516. I would call there before staying in Lincoln. Also, you can stay in Carter Lake, Iowa and you are only about 1 mile from the stadium. We stayed there in 2009 (with the old ballpark) and we walked to downtown Omaha. Omaha is right on the Nebraska/Iowa border and Council Bluffs (with the casinos) and Carter Lakes will have the best lodging deals. I never had a problem driving to Omaha and finding a room when I got there in Iowa, all within 5 minutes from downtown Omaha.
