I'm a Miles fan! He's a quality coach. However, something is not translating to these guys! I see a team that is playing for themselves & not as a TEAM. Yes, it is 1 loss, however, what the LSU nation is looking at is the continual position of guys not being prepared and stage fright so to speak once they get on the stage. He can say what he wants about playing younger players in order to play better later in the year...The reality is you play for EACH GAME! After a while, Miles may run out of excuses...something has to change. I'm not concerned about the play calling as much as I am concerned about a team that hasn't found it's identity and function as a team. I think we are over rated due to the losses of some key guys and the reality is...if you are honest-currently we aren't playing like a top 5 team!

We are down 6 starters. The backups aren't as good.

Being out 6 starters does hurt, but he is not doing anything different in game planning. Toss back to Hilliard or let's toss back to Ware.

SBC....please don't post that logical, factual crap here.....we suck, our coach sucks and we may never win another game.

Sarcasm for those reading and ready to post NSIS...no, not serious.

The dismissals and injuries have really hurt...we are playing our backups at a lot of key positions...fact and also fact that our backups are just not as good as quality SEC starters from toptier teams... shite happens when you lose 4 or 5 starters.

How the frick do you gather this? I guess you are down on the field with the guys and know what they are all thinking.

You've got to be kidding me.

Well we aren't a top 5 team. We are currently ranked 9.

they may be as good, they just aren't playing as good. hell, the SEC is friggin' tough. experience is critical. usually you can bring younger players on gradually; this year many of them are being thrown to the wolves. it can't be helped. they will get better and will be inconsistent until they do. no surprise to the level headed fans.

no, he has a quality record (due to Moffitt, Jimbo, Pelini and Chavis). He is NOT a quality coach. The list is too long (over 7 years) of screw ups, bad judgement, stubbornness, recruiting mistakes and clock management to be considered a "great coach". He is a good CEO, not gameday football coach.

i would expect this from a coach making $800k to $1 mill in a lower tier program, but at LSU for $4.5 per year ? really?

oh and from the other thread: "We're doing the same things as in the past couple of years, there's no reason to change in my mind," Miles said.

Gonna be more of the same...

By being a quality coach do you mean making adjustments at halftime or during the game to offset what the other team is doing or changing what our team is doing when it isn't working? Have we ever made adjustments? Ever? When we get out coached by the Old Ball Coach this weekend adjustments will have to be made with our OC. We are too predictable. We have to move the chains and give the Defense time to rest. Period.

Never going to happen. Miles is too stubborn to give up control of the offense to someone else. So, while he controls it, it will continue to be unimaginative, predictable and lack discipline and execution. Miles is not a good X's and O's coach and he sure doesnt know how to "teach" execution. Thank got we have Chavis to even give us a shot.

Whenever our Defense is on the field I will continue to say, "Our best player."
