I wasnt a Matty Ott fan. Too inconsistent

Matty Ott Ver 1.0 was as good as we've ever had. He was very consistent his freshman year.

It was later in his sophomore and junior years that his problems occurred.

Ahh the good ol days. Late in the game, 1 run lead, and Ott trotted out of the pen. Wouldn't matter who we faced, you just knew it was over.

And then he became a sophomore...

No. You are thinking of Collin Strall, who had a great weekend.

Who's the better freshman that you guys have seen so for? Norman, Latz, or Godfrey? I know Latz is hurt but who was the better prospects out of HS out of all these guys?

Really rooting for Stallings.

One of the reasons I wanna go wednesday is to watch Norman pitch. Haven't got a chance to see him yet. Wanna see if he has the potential of Godfrey and Lange.

And Chris Cotton > than the other closers mentioned in this thread.

I think Latz has the higher upside of those 3

Latz may have the higher ceiling but Norman and Godfrey are all-sec type arms.

I'm not sure how much impact Latz will have on this season though. Keep in mind, he won't be ready to face live batting after 3-4 weeks, that's just when they'll allow him to pick up a baseball again.

Per Mainieri.

Of course. It's going to be Anthony Raunado '10 all over again, luckily you're comparing LSU's then #1 vs #4 pitcher in the rotation.

I love the fact that I have a downvote stalker in every baseball thread. My money is on it being Russian.

I don't know Jesse, but he's from my hometown/high school.

I'd heard about him right before he got hurt. Glad to see LSU stuck with him and that he has the chance to be special.

That would be great for him to grow into being a Cotton/Ott guy for this club.
